First, in order to keep up with escalating costs (our membership dues haven’t changed in nearly 54 years) we have added a $100 administrative fee for corporations with more than 100 units. Second, we have kept our $3.00 per unit charge but increased the cap to $1,500.00 (500 units or more) as a more equitable fee. Third, please remember the line item for membership in NAHC (National Association of Housing Cooperatives) is a $1.25 unit charge that is optional.

You are invited to become a member of the FEDERATION. Our membership consists of housing cooperatives and condominiums and the professionals servicing them in New York City, Westchester County, Long Island and other parts of New York State.

Your membership will be important to you as we carry on the many activities on behalf of our membership. Information on this web site you will see what has given us the reputation of being one of the most effective membership organizations of cooperatives and condominiums.

The FEDERATION is a tax exempt, non-profit organization because of our educational activities and as a resource center on all facets of cooperative and condominium affairs for board members, elected officials and governmental agencies.

We ask you to also become a member of the National Association of Housing Cooperatives (NAHC) located in Alexandria, Virginia. NAHC is a tax exempt membership organization of housing cooperatives located all over the United States. Its location outside the nation's capital enables it to represent its members on many tax and administrative regulations affecting them. Most recently, Section 277 of the IRS Code.

Please note that all Board Members are entitled to our mail at no extra dues cost and can attend our educational functions and meetings at a discounted rate when there is a charge.

ASSOCIATE OR SUPPORTING MEMBERSHIPS ANNUAL DUES

ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP: Lawyers, Managing Agents, Accountants: $350 per year. If you choose to join NAHC there will be an additional charge of $190 (discounted from $300).

SUPPORTING MEMBERSHIP: SUPPORTING MEMBERSHIP: Businesses servicing housing cooperatives and condominiums - $600 Financial Institutions: $1000.

As an Associate or Supporting Member you are entitled to our mailing at no charge - other members of your organization are entitled to our mailings at an extra cost $10 each and can attend functions and meetings at a discounted rate when there is a charge.
